Booger AKA Sittin On The Pine
$1200
includes Coggins & Health Certificate
1995 reg. Thoroughbred (OT) gelding
Stands about 16.3 hh
Booger has some fabulous bloodlines. He has Nasrullah twice in his pedigree. He also has War Admiral, Northern Dancer and Count Fleet running thru him. This is a good share of TB royalty all bundled up in one handsome bay boy.
Booger is an off track TB gelding with a great personality. He is fun to ride but is not for a beginner. He does have both front tendons bowed but these are very old injuries. He has some mild 'typical racehorse' arthritis. He has been on joint supplements since Connie got him two years ago and there have been no problems.
Booger is a nice mover and would do well in lower level dressage. He is also great on the trails for a more experienced rider. He is not bad but he can be a bit strong at times. He likes to GO!
Booger cannot tolerate pelleted feed or Bermuda grass hay. He is senstitive to them and they give him gas colic. He has done this twice and both times he responded quickly to Banamine &/or Mylanta.
Booger does well on a commercial 'senior' feed or an all grain sweet feed. He needs either straight alfalfa or an alfalfa mix hay. He is not a difficult keeper and does great on pasture.
Booger loads, leads, clips and respects fencing of any kind.
UTD on farrier, immunizations and deworming.

Connie is a Prism friend and customer who buys or rescues many horses from us as well as local sources. She keeps most of the horses but she sometimes (rarely) has to sell a few to help another. These sweethearts are for sale to help cover a buddy's leg surgery. Equine surgery is very expensive. These horses have the potential for the best growth with new owners which is why they were chosen. They are stable, level headed horses that will travel and settle into a new routine without any problems. They may have PMU roots or they may be from local sources.
